Aaron Brokaw Federal Tall case

Superb high style Federal Tall case clock by Aaron Brokaw,
of Bridge Town, New Jersey (now called Rahway)
Fine case work with flared French feet, fan inlays, circles and ovals,
and the gracefull high broken arch, for which New Jersey tall clocks were noted.
Extensive edge and line inlay work.
Signed on the dial. 8 day brass Brokaw movement.
Note the simplicity of his movement. Casting porosity, cutouts to
conserve brass, smooth great wheel spools.
Internal count wheel strike, lightning bolt strike lift. Unusual hands.
