In Shop Clock Repair or a House Service Call
I can do a complete overhaul, or a check up and lubrication of your fine Antique Clock at my shop
Estimates are always free, and given while you are here
Hours by Appointment, Including Evenings, and Weekends
Or, if you have a large tallcase clock, or one that shouldn't be transported
a house service call can be scheduled to service your clock.
Don't settle for a quick once over, and a drop of oil
I spend about 1 1/2 to 2 hours at your residence.
The movement is removed from the case.
Then old oil is wiped down, and pegged out of the oil sinks
The movement is inspected, adjusted, lubricated, and recased
I'll go over with you, how to wind your clock, set the time, and adjust it
If the clock, after 2 hours work on site, isn't reliably working, an overhaul in my shop,
or in the case of a modern clock, a movement replacement is in order
Modern tallcase clocks, usually have a German movement.
They can be expected to give about 30 years service. Factory specific movements are available,
for replacement, rather than extensive (expensive) repair work.
